Xebec Adsorption Inc. named 'Investment of the Year' Finalist

BLAINVILLE, Canada, October 1, 2007 - Xebec Adsorption Inc. today announced that it has been named finalist by the "Sodet" for the Regional Investment Prize 2007.

The economic development agency of Thérèse-de-Blainville (www.sodet.com) has named Xebec Adsorption as finalist in the category of "Manufacturing Enterprise" for its significant contribution to regional investment and job creation.

"We are very pleased to have been named finalist in this prestigious contest for regional investment. The whole team of Xebec Adsorption has been working very hard to secure a profitable future for Xebec and its employees, and to contribute to local social development. Since June 1st, 2007, we have created an additional 8 jobs within Xebec; five are in the engineering sector, demonstrating our continued commitment to new product development and R&D. Our sales have exceeded budget forecasts by 12% and profit expectations were exceeded by a comfortable margin," commented Mr. Kurt Sorschak, President of Xebec Adsorption Inc.

The winner of the contest will be announced on November 9th, 2007 at a Gala
event in Thérèse-de Blainville.
