Xebec has developed three proprietary technologies that solve some of the inherent disadvantages of conventional PSA gas purification technology:
Fast-cycle PSA Technology
Xebec's proprietary rotary valve technology replaces the complex and bulky network of piping and valves which are used in conventional PSA systems with a set of compact, integrated valves. Using beaded adsorbent with stationary beds, our PSA systems operate at speeds that are less than one cycle per minute.
Rapid-cycle PSA Technology
Xebec's proprietary structured adsorbent overcomes the limits of beaded-adsorbent fluidization. The structured adsorbent material within rotary beds are packaged into an integrated rotary rapid-cycle PSA design. Rapid-cycle PSA systems operate at significantly higher cycle speeds of up to 50 cycles/minute or more.
Advanced Process Cycle Technology

Xebec's advanced process design provides gas separation with multiple equalizations, and regeneration/purge steps with optimal performance. For different applications, gas separation can be done for bulk gas upgrading and/or high purity gas purification.
- Compact size. The increased cycle speed and rotary mechanical design significantly reduce the size of our systems compared to conventional PSA's. This results in reduced capital and installation costs.
- Modular, scalable design. The integrated mechanical design of our PSA products is inherently modular and is designed to be skid mounted, reducing equipment installation time and cost. Our basic rotary system architecture is also scalable from small portable applications to large industrial scales.
- Flexibility. Our PSA systems can be modified to purify a range of different gases and a range of capacities by changing the type of adsorbent material and the design of the rotary valve.
