This individual will provide leadership and management of the Process & Quality Management function for the organization. The Director provides leadership and direction in the planning, development and implementation of environmental health and safety management and production safety protocols. This role is responsible for establishing a culture and team dynamic that allows our creative teams to accomplish their vision while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment for our employees and contractors.

Divided into three aspects:
The Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG)
  • Develop and communicate strategies and policies for sustainability initiatives in line with business priorities.
  • Provide recommendations to the board & senior management on key issues related to ESG, taking into consideration industry best practices and standards.
  • Provided guidance on ESG related goals & targets, and work with the ESG committee to mobilize company-wide resources to enhance ESG performance, adding value to operations, leveraging external expertise where necessary.
  • Conduct periodic materiality assessment on short to long term impacts and risks to the business from an ESG standpoint and identify key priorities and actions to tackle them.


ISO 9001 & 14000
  • Update and maintain the quality manuals (ISO 9001), revising them with a language that makes them usable and accessible, easily followed and understood by all.
  • Develop and maintain the environmental management program (ISO 14000).
  • Coordinate activities related to these two certifications.


Environmental Health and Safety
  • Ensure Health and Safety legislation is being adhered to and lead health and safety activities to ensure a high awareness of employee safety is maintained.
  • Maintain and manage quality/qualification platforms (ISNETWORLD).
  • Identify safety-training needs and coordinate safety-training programs.
  • Participate in new product and process review, including process-hazard analysis.

The following qualifications are the minimum requirements necessary to successfully perform this role. However, any equivalent combination of experience, education and training which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities would be acceptable:

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental management, environmental sciences, business or relevant field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years prior safety experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of warehouse experience.
  • Oral and written professional proficiency in English and French
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and Industrial Regulations. and Ontario Health and Safety Regulations
  • Knowledge of ESG guidelines and standards, and experience in dealing with high-level management across functions.
  • Analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to work autonomously.
  • Ability to manage several files at a time and meet deadlines while delivering quality results.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment dealing with change and continuously shifting requirements.
